1. When do applications for the Oxford Australia Scholarships open and close?

Applications open on Monday, 5 January 2026, and close on Monday, 23 February 2026 at 23:59 AEDT. Your application and all references must be submitted by the closing date and time.

2. What documentation is required for an Oxford Australia Scholarships application?

An up-to-date Resume or CV (maximum 3 pages), a copy of your university transcripts, a statement of purpose for your application (maximum 1 page), a summary of your intended financial arrangements for study at Oxford and three references who can comment authoritatively on your academic qualities and potential

Your statement should explain your rationale for your chosen course at Oxford, why you’re motivated and well-suited to pursue that course, and how it will help you realise your aspirations subsequently.

3. If I have completed a degree outside Australia, does this mean I am excluded?

Yes, unfortunately. The Oxford Australia Scholarships are for the first Overseas degree.

4. Does completing an exchange overseas during an Australian degree count as an overseas degree?

No, you will still be eligible for the scholarship.

5. What is the value and tenure of the scholarships?

The value of the Scholarships varies, depending on the funds available each year. Most are between AUD$5,500 and $11,000. The tenure if for the duration of your degree, up to a maximum of three years.

6. What is the meaning of "country of ordinary residence"?

This is defined by the Australian Government, and it is where you normally live.
